Today I was looking for a refreshing drink for another unbearably hot/humid day. My food supply is dwindling, I definitely need a grocery trip, but I had exactly what I needed to make a smoothie today! I had exactly enough ingredients for one 16 oz smoothie:
1/2 banana (very ripe)
3 basil leaves
2 tsp chia/flax blend (I’m out of straight chia, use one tsp of one or each if not preblended)
1 scoop collagen peptides (or protien powder of choice)
1 greens cube (or handful) – I used 3 less condensed cubes of greens that I’ve had in my freezer which were more green tea than greens
The trick to this smoothie is to only taste the pinapple and basil that way you wind up with a super tasty, refreshing flavor!
